Here are some of the topics and ideas that I will be sharing and giving you resources for dealing with raising young adults.

I am passionate about three main areas:

  • Life Skills and Preparation for Adulthood: Including Character, Heart, Academics, Skills, and Experiences
  • Study Skills For Students:  Learning Independently, Planning and Organization, Scheduling Your Studying, Note Taking, Reading, Memorizing, Focus, and Concentration
  • How to manage the trifecta for college applications: Transcripts, Standardized Testing, and Student Resume.

If you’re like me, you might be struggling with several things in your head when it comes to launching your kid off into the great big world.  Here’s one place you can start with ideas for how to launch your child.

I struggled with:

  • Was I doing enough?
  • Was I doing too much and not letting them learn independence?
  • Was I keeping them too close and not cutting those apron strings?
  • Was I sending them out into the world too soon?
  • Were they ready?
  • What about Jane Brown down the street who seems to have it all together? I bet she is doing a better job than me at all this…
  • Am I missing something?

These are just some of the things I worried about.  One way to fight some of these struggles is to strive for excellence, instead of perfection.

What about you? Are you struggling with anything regarding getting your child ready to go to college? What are your struggles? Add a comment below and tell me!
