One of the things I do for my teens now that they are grown is each year I give them books to help them build their own spiritual library. Usually, these are books that I have found helpful in my own spiritual growth.

I have been giving them two books each Christmas.  Yes, they all get the same books each year! They actually open them all at the same time. (They are on to me!)  My hope is that they will turn to these books for advice and assistance as they grow spiritually. I know they have already been helpful to my kids.  I’m sure you have your own list of books that have impacted you. I encourage you to take some time this year to think about how you can encourage your kids spiritually and give them resources for their own growth.

  4. The Battle Plan for Prayer by The Kendrick Brothers
  5. Search for Significance: Seeing Your True Worth Through God’s Eyes by Robert McGee
